Written in Prescott, Arizona in 1994 while living in the greenhouse of the legendary “Vallejo House”.
Playing the song with a clarinet-wielding friend in Turkmenistan helped plant a seed in J that bore fruit years later when J himself picked up the clarinet.
The original intention was to only feature one clarinet on Novah, but while listening to a couple takes simultaneously, it became apparent that in this case, two was better than one.
